Valerie Charles

Secondary; QTS; B.A
(hon.)
Specialist in Resistant
Materials, Textiles and
Graphic Design
Chair & co-founder of
Global African Development
and is passionate about
playing a role in the
creation of opportunities
that lead towards
re-establishing Africa to
its former glory as the
cradle of civilisation.
She is a qualified Design &
Technology Teacher, employed
in an inner London School.
As the Design & Technology
Innovator she is responsible
for leading, managing and
delivering high quality
teaching and learning, as
well as developing her team,
students and the curriculum.
Valerie is an experienced
educator who is able to give
her expertise to the charity
projects on a wide range of
issues that correspond to
objective 1, which relates
to developing education and
peoples skills in Ethiopia
and objective 2 in regards
to health promotion. |

She has a passion for
Photography; her work was
exhibited at London
Guildhall University and
White Chapel Art Gallery, as
well as being published in
the Spitafield Magazine.
Her photography skill has
benefited and continue to be
an asset to the charity in
its promotion of Africa’s
image and natural scenic
beauty as endorsed in
objective 3. |

Elizabeth Patterson
Treasurer and co-founder of
Global African Development
and is dedicated to the
regeneration of Africa.
Elizabeth is an Entrepreneur
and accomplished Fashion
Designer. Her award winning
clothing label “Nosaf
Fashions” has catered for
the general public in
addition to theatre groups,
choirs, sports teams and
well-known figures for over
15 years.
She is a creative talent who
also produces an array of
arts and crafts, which is
often used to generate funds
for the charity and other
causes.
Elizabeth is an experienced
fundraiser who has
demonstrated her management
skills by organising various
events for numerous
organisations including
fashion shows all over the
UK.
Her skills are an asset to
achieving objectives 1- 3. |

Laura Leonce RGN.
Dip NS; Dip TN; BA (hon.) PG
Dip
Secretary & co-founder of
Global African Development,
Laura is a registered
General Nurse who also has
qualifications in tropical
nursing and Specialist
Community nursing.
She has qualifications in
teaching & mentoring in her
field and is particularly
interested in care
management and health
promotion as a means of
preventing ill health. Laura
has been instrumental in
starting up various
community health projects
using her leadership and
management skills to
facilitate change.
Laura is also experienced in
disseminating information
through publications & plays
a key role in producing a
wide variety of literature
relevant in to promoting the
charity’s aims.
Her skills are beneficial to
all the charities
objectives. |
